FAT people are Discriminated against at prime

Fat is such an ugly word,how about pleasingly plump.Anyway a majority of truckers did'nt start out overweight it just happened.I don't know how,truck stop food is like YUK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As long as you can do the job I don't see anything wrong with being heavy but if you're obease now that's a different story.All it would take is one fall either climbing out of the trk or in and you're done not to mention a huge lawsuit for the company.

A number of charts including the BMI are unrealistic and do not take into account anything other than the measurements. When I was in the service I ran triathlons and was 5ft9in and 185. According to the BMI I was overweight even with a 7% bodyfat count. The guy we are talking about here however is just a pig. period.

 

When I was in high school a kid on the weight lifting team was considered obese because he was 5' tall and was built like A body builder. This kid was huge but weighed a lot because of the muscle. Almost zero body fat, but BMI showed him as obese. It is a stupid tool

I am in agreement because bmi is not a accurate form of testing I am big for my height but I can do my job without any assistance or problems and I am a delivery driver that delivers oxygen I lift 115-145 LIQUID oxygen vessals daily I can perform all functions that is required of me and have perfect blood pressure and sugar and colesterol so don't sit there and tell me that I am a heart attack waiting to happen all because I'm over weight. I want to do this job because it is a way to provide for my wife and kids why shouldn't I have the same opportunity as someone who is skinny

 

Exactly.I am 6'4" 268 pds with a Body Fat Percentage of 18.0% which is on the border of fitness and acceptable,yet according to the BMI I am obese.

Go figure.

 

If I were to be taped today from at 600-9 I would only be approx 4% over my allowed body fat according to bmi I am 39.5%
