You will still go out for 120 hours. That's what they did with me. I had just about the exact same experience when I started. Believe me, if you get a good trainer, it will go quickly. And you will thank them for all the great information they will give you.

This may be a question that has been asked before, but what is the definition of a "fleet owner" at US Xpress? Is it an individual who has leased their trucks to u.s. xpress? Now, if a company driver is in one of these trucks leased from an individual, does the driver get priority over another driver if on load is up for grabs? Is it the same as a fleet manager, but named an owner to enhance their ego? What's really going on here?

It is your fleet managers supervisor. Each Fleet Manager has about 50 trucks they manage and each Fleet Owner has a bunch (not sure of the number) of FM's that report to them.

Well, I have a minute to catch up. I had a great belated Christmas at home. After that I got a run out of Miamiup to Ellenwood, right next to the terminal. Picked up a new student in Ellenwood. In the meantime I had to get a throttle valve replaced on the truck. Also my AC went out. They replaced the compressor.

My student was acting a little weird. He wouldn't sleep in the truck the two nights we were at the terminal. Then we got a repower going to Albany, GA. When we got there he hopped off the truck to smoke a cigarette. Next thing I know the TC is calling me to say he needed to go home. A little while later he comes back and starts packing his stuff, then starts taking it off the truck. This whole time he doesn't say one word to me. Weird.

Another driver asked him what was going on. He told him he wasn't learning anything. Huh? At this point he had been in the truck a total of about 3 hours.

so I got a run out of there to New Orleans, then Houston. Now I'm headed to Laredo tonight. I have a new student out of Markham that I'm supposed to meet up with in Irving.

Well, just sitting in the hammer lane on 220 outside of Roanoke VA. About 5 inches of snow on the ground and still coming down hard, We have not moved in over an hour and I suspect we are going to be here a long time. I have my hot cocoa and checking up on facebook friends. Better here than in one of the cars next to me. Anne is out walking the dogs on the freeway.

Yikes, glad we were able to get out of there. We delivered in Winchester on Tuesday, it was all rain then. Just outside of Albuquerque now and we'll be back in SoCal in the morning. Good luck, Craig. Patty says it was 60 degrees earlier, but I must've slept through it. Its 45 now and that's still the warmest I've seen in a while.

Btw, yes, Jeff Jones. Hahaha, what an a-hole. I have heard several drivers that have had him for an FM say that they really like him, but that must be because he's stealing loads and screwing over everyone else to keep his trucks moving the better loads, at least that's what it looks like to me. I don't think he'll be cancelling any of my preplans again anytime soon, in fact when I called him out on it and mentioned that I thought we had that problem solved with the fleet owner he didn't even message me anymore after previously threatening to call me and give me some sort of reprimand. Whatever dude, move on and leave our loads alone and everyone will be better off.

Now I'm thankful we're not doing that FedEx run from Memphis to Newark and back!!...Left Newark the other night and had rain all the way to Houston and then back up to the Swift yard in Greer, SC. We are picking up a FedEx load in Charlotte this evening and running it to Memphis, tho.

    Hi all.

Sitting out here in Colton again. Delivered last night and had been waiting for load info for the produce load we were supposed to be getting today. Just got a message from the planner saying the broker just told them there isn't gonna be a load for us today. Hoping to maybe get a dry load and get outta here. Patty has already completed a 34 hour restart and I've got about 9 hours left to finish up mine.

    We gots to go now.
