Looking into signing on with TMC. Curious if any of you TMC drivers who live in Northwest suburbs of Chicago getting the loads/miles these days?

I live in Plainfield and this is a great area to live in. Really easy to get you home every weekend because of the amount of freight that comes in and out of the Chicagoland area. I did very well on linehaul being home every weekend in this area.

Great, thanks for your response Milskired. Any tips for a 1st year TMC driver who wants to be one of their best drivers?

Here are a few key points about the new trucks that you might be wondering:
*The first 50 trucks are being built at Peterbilt and will go into the boat division soon. These only have one bunk as Peterbilt is in the engineering process for the second bunk
*Fleet trucks with 2 bunks will begin delivery early Spring
*Trucks will have a 22 inch flat screen TV, inverter and espar heater
*Trucks have elogs and all TMC trucks will have elogs by May
*579 has a Cummins ISX engine
*579 has dual tires no more super singles
*579 has a more spacious bunk and cab with a panoramic windshield -

Seen photos of the 579 interior and they look very nice.
Not as bad as I thought. At 61.5 mph, gotta keep the nose as pointy as possible!
Thanks for posting Diesel Geek. -
I took a pic I will try to post up later

For those familiar with Facebook, search TMC on there, and you will find more pictures of the 579 exterior and interior. I did nothing more than post a picture from there, and copy the specs. Hope it helps.
