Greetings, All. I'd like to hear a little more about Fluid Hauling. Things I've heard on this Forum: Good Coin, long hard hours, little room for advancement, crummy back roads. Carriers that expect a potential driver to get their own tickets. Pricey door stops. Desperate for drivers.

Seems like a good way for an ambitious, focused, sharp-minded individual to develop a decent nest-egg. Is there anything else You Folks can tell us? Are there any Carriers or specific Terminals that have made the job a little more manageable? Which ones are well organized? Which ones are Gong Shows?

I have also noticed that there are a number of Fluid Haulers that are smaller, family-based owner/operators with 20 - 40 trucks. Do You know of any that are humane and have a heart?

You know at every safety meeting on a fracing they told us to not get any fluids on us, to get showered off asap if we did, because they were at least potentially carcinogenic. That's when they're blended 2-300:1 with water. What are they like pure in the chem van where even without spills with ventilation the smell is overpowering. Not for this kid, if that's the next rung up the promotion ladder I'm just fine where I am.
