How does one consider a company that is almost impossible to get info on from other drivers? I am looking at a small company (34 trucks) that runs 90% dedicated lanes. Things are Ok where I am at now, no real complaints but I just feel out of place here. I've searched the site on this company and there is literally nothing about them. I've been keeping my eyes open for drivers at the truckstop and seriously have never seen one although I do see them up and down the interstate in Florida. They run older tractors, mostly Columbia's and some internationals and a handful owner ops. Equipment looks decently maintained. The little bit info I have gathered, via website, they are 100% elog as the owner is on the board for peoplenet. So to me, a small outfit that doesn't run outlaw Is a plus. The guy I've been back and forth With said most drivers have been there 10-15 yrs.

My issue is, I've been burned by a Small company before. Now what?

The SMS Is decent as well, not outstanding on vehicle maint but a lot better then some of these companies. None of the stats are in intervention so that's another plus

Call and ask your questions...a lack of info out there is usually good, because as you know, bad news travels fast. Drivers sticking with them long term is also a positive sign.

Its hard to tell man. You could talk to drivers but they might be the ones upset bout the company. I see it all the time where I drive but most of the time it's the drivers fault the company treats them that way where I work at...so go straight to the horses mouth and start asking questions.

The thing is I take what drivers say with a grain of salt. My former company had a horrible rep but it worked out incredibly well for me as I made the best out of what I could. I kept my mouth shut and drove.

    Trucker79010 Thanks this.

don't forget safety score, business credit, I.e., bbb.com, d&b rating, also a source that might know something or someone are local big truck tow companies in the hometown of this small carrier that does regulwr business and a truck repair shop that you snoop around and find out from their vendors, why because most often gruntled drivers talk to the vendors....lol:biggrin_2559:

It occurred to me that I applied to this company like a year ago and just got a response last week about upcoming openings. Doesn't seem to be a driver mill

hope it works out for you. Small company would be nice to run for but then again they seem to like running the old school way and its a new school world but obviously not true for all companies
