when i was driving an fld. i locked myself out on an onramp, nothing on but skivies and sneakers. now because of that i always have a spare key hidden on the outside of my truck. my neighbor locked his keys in an international, i " finessed" his side box open. used a car jack and some wood to raise the bed up and sent his kid thru to open the door.

Ha I've been there before, pulled off on a side street to get some waffle house coffee, went back to the truck and my seatbelt clicker thingy had grabbed my keys when I got out (I have on in the ignition all the time and a set I carry) so with the truck running and on a road I had to wait for an hour before someone finally got to me. Then on top of that he didn't have the right tool to get the door unlocked! Finally I asked to see his key ring and finally his home toolbox key opened my sidebox, so I ended up having to crawl my 200lb self through this tiny hole, bust the plywood under my bunk and push the mattress up and wriggle into the cab. And it still cost me 100$ :biggrin_25510:

Wire coat hangers are free in the mechanic's locker room. Rental uniforms always builds up a few hundred unused hangers.

have a spare key made and zip tie some place under the hood total investment cost $2.45 for key 1/16 cent for zip tie. dont make something hard out of something simple. and you wont have to walk around the T/S with a thing tied around your neck looking like a dork.
