What exactly do you mean by CDL temps

 

CDL instruction permit... u need one while training for a CDL.

 

Sitting on the yard trying to decide whether to sign onto Alliance again or not. Have to do my medical recert for the qual cards tomorrow at 10. I missed the December special. I said, maybe I should wait for the next special. Then you would have to qualify again. As if it's a foregone conclusion that my nubers won't be as good on the company side unless I'm in pre-alliance. Smacks of a conspiracy.....

What to do, what to do. I might not even qualify for the standard sign on bonus, so maybe I'll go talk to them in the am and find out if I do. That might make the decision for me. that and I absolutely must have a non-smoking truck. And it must have a good MPG history.

I don't want much, do I?

 

If you tell Cat you will only sign with the same deal as the December deal....they'll figure out how to get you the deal.

LOL. Dairy palace IS good. I managed the McDonalds across the street back in 98. I had to "check on the competition" from time to time. I also like getting there chicken taco salad except on a bed of chips instead of the edible bowl.

 

While I prefer Emulsified's answer, the 'December deal' is the 'promotion' that was offered during the month of December to encourage drivers to 'sign on' with Alliance (the lease-operator side of Stevens). The 'typical' deal offered is something along the lines of 4 half payments, plus free tank of fuel, free tank of DEF, etc.

 

Well at this point I was willing to sign on for the standard deal if I got a non smoking truck. The attitude I got when asking about that has convinced me to stay on the company side.

 

Such a simple request and yet so difficult to fufill.
