Got locked out of a Volvo once, even though it supposedly only locks with a Key.
Happened again sometime after that. There was something wrong with that Truck/Door.

Volvo is the same way. Wont lock unless the door is shut. Good as I'm paranoid about locking myself out, lol.

Using the same KW key on two different trucks didnt work the one time I repowered a load from another driver at Stevens who was hospitalized and had to retrieve the bills from his locked truck. Had to call a locksmith.

Locked my keys in my truck once. This was back in 06 in a century class. I was at a shipper so I asked for a 4 foot peice of metal banding and tin snips. Home made slim jim. Only took me about 30 seconds and I popped the lock up.

Slim jims have not worked well in cars/pickups in yrs. They put a chunk of metal across. Now you need to grab linkage and move it. (and often break it) Wonder why that is true in $12-50k cars/pickups (just normal stuff not $$$ ones) :) But a semi tractor thats worth 10x PLUS new is not????

rofl. problem with that is...people get close to your truck all the time with no ill intentions. walking by yours to get to theirs in the t/s for instance. you go in, take a shower, and come back out to a pile of bodies writhing on the ground near your booby trapped truck. not to mention when the cop catches you speeding, comes up to ask for your license and ends up hit with the jolt, causing him to draw his weapon and open fire on you in perceived self defense. so many amusing ways for this to go wrong........

I always keep a spare key in my wallet. Done it with my personal vehicle for years. Got a rig key hooked on the wallet chain. Probably ten times its saved me a headache.
