I am currently after a lot of research deciding between Millis and McElroy. I know to go with Millis I must go through their Training and be under a year contract. I have the ability to do a independent school also. I live just outside of Birmingham Al and wondering if it is a good location for millis as far as home time. Does anyone know the difference in the actual cpm for the two and the advantages for flatbed and van. Thanks for any info you can provide.

To be totally honest with you, McElroy has the best home time I have ever heard of. They guarantee that you will be home every weekend.
-
They are Seventh Day Adventist, that is why you are GUARANTEED weekends off. If for some reason you work your weekend, then you get a bonus.
-
From what Millis told me they guarantee you to be home every other weekend. I am reasonably close to Cartersville so that should help with the hometime.

Sounds like a great deal to me.

What are they talking about when they say a 34 hour recharge?
Chinatown Thanks this. -
Yes, McElroy would be my choice.

When you are off duty 34 hours, your 70 hr. work week starts over, which means you now have 70 hours available to work.Rdzuber Thanks this.

Hi Chinatown. Today I received an invite to orientation at McElroy. I noticed that McElroy would be your choice between these two. Is that due to the weekends off, the company itself, or other things? Just wondering as I'm just trying to get as much info on McElroy (as well as any company I'm considering) that I can.
