My wife heard the same rumor as well with Stevens. Good luck with Swift - most large carriers treat their drivers like crap. If you can stick it out with the carrier for at least a year (or whatever your contract with the driving school states), then you should have a real good chance of going anywhere you want. Fortunately, my wife will not be joining any of those carriers but running with me 3-4 weeks every 3 months (week at a time, not all together)!

My wife refused to sign it. But also my wife is smart enough to know when to sign something and when not to. As far as the discount, I totally agree with you. There is a lot less expense to the school for those that are local, but they offer ZERO discount!

This is where the instructor comes into play. send me a message and let me know if she is on days or night and I can tell you who she needs to get with. They have some good instructors who see what you are doing wrong and tells you how to fix it. but they also have the whistle blowers and all they say is pull up and try again! no idea why you messed up or how to fix it.

I called the MTC out of Park Hills today and talked to my recruiter and she said that she does not know anything about that. Also that the north school and the south school dont communicate a whole lot. I also called the recruiter I have been talking to for Stevens and got his vmail. I left him a message to call me back. So I am still waiting.

It was a rumor so it very well could be made up. I know the Stevens guys complained and got switched hotels so who knows!

Yes, they actually have recruiters come to the school. Swift, Werner and Stevens has been there.

This is exactly what happened today - some part time instructor just told her which way to turn the steering wheel - not why she should be doing it a certain way.

I had trouble backing as well. We were in a rotation to do each exercise. You might get four tries a day if there was a lot of demand for a particular exercise. I feel her pain.

One of the guys on nights taught me atta boy for offset and parallel parking turn the wheel away from where you want to be, split the landing gear, then back towards until you are straight. Back till you are lined up then towards again to split the gear, away until straight and should be in? Atta the boy part wouldn't work for her so much!

at MTC Hazelwood you would be very lucky to get four times a day!
