I think I would go online and find a drug testing company. I can't remember the name of the one I use for the business at home. Order three urine test kits. They are really cheap. If you smoked every day for 4 years then it may take awhile to detox. Test yourself and see if you've got a clean urine test and then worry about the hair. While you're waiting do some research on companies and find one what only uses urine tests.

Kudos on the 45 days clean. It's not a long time, but you have start somewhere. I smoked for 20 years and loved it, but like most, it was time to grow up and take care of business. With that being said, with such young children, trucking is a good way to miss out on them growing up. I understand hair tests usually go back 90 days, piss tests varies, but usually 45 to 60 days should be sufficient. Trucking is not a last resort like one poster said, people seem to thrive on insults about a person's past, present or future. Stay clean and you will be fine. Good luck in whatever path you choose.

And your positive about this because? Do all people with drug and alcohol problems fail when they've had enough? Here's an example of someone that didn't fail, and he was a lot worse than a chronic pot smoker. October 28th 1980, I had enough, I put the drugs AND alcohol down for the last time, and have been clean and sober ever since, which means I haven't touched any illegal drugs or consumed any alcohol in the last 32.9 years. Now, I'm just glad I didn't listen to all the naysayers as I was starting my journey in recovery. It's hard enough to get clean and sober, let alone having people tell you you're going to fail.Giggles the Original, 900,000-tons-of-steel, anj8488 and 1 other person Thank this.

I relate as well. If your determined, YES you can cold turkey. I was a drug user and heavy drinker and literally woke up one day and said enough. It's something that's hard to explain especially to someone that hasn't experienced it. That was 8 years ago for me.
JohnBoy and Giggles the Original Thank this. -
well thats it...you finally get to the point and say "enough is enough".....

Because you can be qualified to drive, and begin the real learning, with only four weeks of training. And some cash to pay for it.

People also think that it is easy to do because all we do is sit and drive right easy as pie

I dont have too. Ive witnessed it first hand. Hell I smoked when I was 16-18. I still catch myself missing the high. But thats as much nostalgia during conversations as anything. Ive seen friends waste away their lives because they dont want to stop smoking. Doing "wake and bake" every morning. Not quitting when offered good jobs. Turning to lsd and coke for a "different" high. Not to mention what ive witnessed as an EMT for 8 years.
Its a proven fact on how thc affects the brain and the chemicals in it. Serotonin levels drop as you introduce the thc into the system. Your brain becomes dependant in the artificial high. Requiring more and more. Causing addiction. Same with nicotine and alcohol.
Now if its legal then smoke away. But until then dont. You want it legal then learn how to get it legal and work on it.
Oh and the government, big pharma, and rehab are in it together just to ruin your good time. Oh evil evil rehab facilities.
And I quit smoking after 20 years with very little withdraw. But I chose to quit out of cheapness as much as health. I guess I was motivated. I also dont drink more than a beer or two on home time. I drank like a fish before. No withdraws. Im not special. I just refuse to let addictions run my life. But its cheapness as I said before. I dont like paying the prices.
I love how pot smokers have all the answers but hardly ever the motivation to get things changed. And befire you spout off about Colorado or Washington. You might wantvto look at the laws and see the hoops that have to jumped thru to smoke legally.
Medically yes there can be and are benifits in certain cases. But I find it funny how many people in California seem to fit that criteria.
Oh and the first time someone snorting their paycheck away needs another fix so they rob you or some one you care about. Let me know how it feels then. So the "I dont care what some one does in their own time" argument is a little skewed
And im out of this. Dont know why I bothered? Pot smokers are all the same. You scream how its good and hurts no one. But can't seem to get the us government to change things. How its "natural" so it can't be bad. Well go smoke poison ivy and let me know hiw natural works for ya.
