Black Dog?

As far as this goes, i've never heard a drunk seeing the elephants, only people who smoke weed.

 

No black dog but I've seen overpasses that weren't there,deer on the side of the road that was a bush,something out the corner of my eye running along the side of the truck,a silhouette of a huge Godzilla sized dragon that turned out to be a mountain,a red light signal where there wasn't one,and a large flock of black birds swarming the truck on two occasions.

 

Well I've never seen or heard of drunk elephants smoking weed..

 

When I ran 2 or 3 logbooks in my younger days, I saw a jogger at night pacing me and no matter how fast I drove, he could keep up..finally realized I was looking at my own reflection in the drivers door window. I continued driving and became more fatigued & looked at my reflection again and thought, I'm a lesbian in a mans body. Decided it's nappy time!

There is a problem with the story that say you see a black dog before you die while asleep behind the wheel. How did they know because it has to someone who is already dead to tell you this. If it was someone who just almost crash then it becomes an assumption. So it is nonsense. Anyways truckers don't swerve to avoid animals real or imaginary.

 

Yea we don't swerve problem is all the animals that decide to run out in front of me aren't the ones I want to hit. I'm still waiting for that 12 point white tail to walk out in front of my truck. I'll be dropping the hammer calling the insurance company and getting me a nice new hood ornament.

I've never seen a black dog, but I have seen the following late one night in rural Texas: a blue deer, a stack of newspapers, a gooseneck trailer with round haybales on it, and an overpass (there was no overpass for 20 miles in either direction on the highway I was driving).

I had worked every night for 30 days straight - I was extremely sleep deprived.
