Some people actually stay on with starter companies. There is nothing wrong with this if they are treating you decently and the driver is doing his or her best to stay on track with everything

If the pay is iffy sometimes in this industry now, think about what is going to happen if the immigration bills go thru and 11 million people in the country illegally can suddenly sign up for work. My heart goes out to them but the reality is that the middle class legally in this country is struggling to find a decent job. My guess is that trucking is going to be greatly affected by this. If you don't like this picture of the future -- write you senator and congressman -- NOW.

As to the people wanting to come to this country -- they want to come for a future that is stable and not undercut from beneath them, once they make it. Things need to change but just dumping 11 million people on the economy is not the way to do it.
