Just recieved my CDL today..

    Hello all my name is Scott. I live in McMinnville, Oregon. I passed my CDL exam today and I am looking to hit the road. I have been hit with several roadblocks today though :( I have 2 felony possesion charges from 1998 and 1999, and Dom Asslt 4 misdemeanor in 2004. Most trucking companies will not even look at me because I have more than one conviction on my record. It was a long time ago and I have become a productive citizen. I have done everthing in my power to be a better person. I just wish they would look at an individual and talk to them rather than say "sorry". Any advice would be greatly appreciated from all of you who have been in the business :) Thanks and I look forward to being part of the trucking family.
