I heard that since the grandchildren started running the company the only concern was how much they were making money-wise. It wasn't the company the original England family started. I met a yard person in Atlanta who was around when the original England's ran the company and said it was a much different place.. Wicked funny when I sent an email to the head England in an attempt to voice a concern. He sent an email to chief counsel but unawares sent me a reply that was really directed for chief counsel. One of my SR Instructors was given the highest level of evaluation and then he was fired because he had a family emergency and left a voicemail message and was accused of un-excused absence. True Story...

I think it is natural to want to believe the best about a person or company... My post won't change anyone's mind that wants to go to CR England. People do what people do. Without any protections that the old trucking industry had with unions we are at the mercy of many practices that companies do because they can...

That picture would be very popular on facebook today, referring to a rig stretched across toll booth lanes....

SMH!!
The original England's? I believe they were actually hard working good people.. If!? I remember right they promised delivery of product from California to east coast in 3 days.. That was in the 20's? Long before interstates or modern highways..and did it!
I don't fault the "original" England's, but don't blame the grandchildren!! It's business as usual in Utah!! Take advantage of the desperate and hide behind locked doors with armed security guards.
Ok I'm rambling..ugh -
Im sure "somewhere" there is footage..

I have worked for three companies and I would agree with you on the whole but in my limited experience I have not experienced such extremely poor people skills that I did with CR. The only thing that makes sense to me about that is that because CR gets a bonus from the government for each person it hires that it's a numbers game of getting the most amount of people through the system. There is no incentive to do anything differently. CR owns the company, the leasing company and even part owner of the Frieghtliner dealership in Salt Lake City. They even sell used cars to drivers at Salt Lake on a payment basis. The owner I drove for had my pay handled by their lease payroll system. They made it difficult to communicate about my own pay issues. I was like a non-entity to them even though they were handling my pay....

Yet, another CRE Thread. Does anyone have anything positive/encouraging to discuss about this company?

Yeah, you're right. The trainer should be able to stay up 24 hours a day. Get real. These types of posts are a fine example of that fake, macho baloney where a driver should take anything that is thrown his way. Without question.
