Schooled at CDDT in Omaha. There was no be tter way to take. It was the quickest route to I80. Its the best maintained hwy in that area, just had snow blowing across the road from the fields next to it quicker than they could plow it.

Believe it or not, a flat catches more wind under the trailer than a van.

Not so much luck or trying to brave it out really, I run that road often and have known where the winds will hit you even in the summer months you can have over 75mph winds on Wyoming I-80. The timing is also important as well, when you know where the cross winds are I keep away from anyone that can be close.

We can step out of the shower and have a accident, life is just that.

If you ever get a chance in the summer stop on top of Elk mountain, grab a sandwich and drink then just set outside and look around.

    Very beautiful place.

I've stopped up there before, it's pretty nice. Also like getting buffalo burgers at the bottom before I go over if it's the day time. I go through there westbound once every week, but usually it's 0200 or so when I do.

Lately I've been running through Medicine Bow around it more often than not. Nothing like a two block town with five bars.

That truck stop that you hit before you really start getting up into the mountain heading westbound. Not sure if it has a name, but just stays truck stop on a red and white sign, with a red stripe running along the top of the building I think. Think it's MM 290 something.

They have a burger stand type joint in there with a lot of different meats. I know they have buffalo and elk for sure, maybe deer too. You can even get Rocky Mountain Oysters there. It's actually been a while since I've been able to go in because I almost always cross it at night and they're closed.

What highway were you on anyway? 6 was pretty good last time I was on it in the winter from lincoln to gretna take that #### thing everytime they shut I80 down in the winter...or when I'm a bit too heavy to cross the 2 scales between lincoln and Omaha.

Thanks for that information, I like off the wall places and sounds like a fun place to eat.
