a lot of ppl call them double over becuz the last 2 gears are switched around and the last gear is up against the dash...but thats all it is, up against the dash...its not a double over....
-
but i am sure there are a lot of drivers that will argue with me....
-
Not me! 15 spd trannys are not well understood by most drivers. Not to mention a true double over would not be able to pull a 137k gizmo load much less live. Unless you've got really low gears I'm not even using overdrive!
-
I beg to differ! My old KW Brute had 15 that went up against the dash, and another stick that went against the dash. That should count as a 15 double over, right?
-
a modified twin stick doesnt count...
-
6.88 rears and 70 mph ought to count for something!
To the OP: Most likely a detent ball spring. It's an easy fix. -
see, you are an older crusty than me HAMMER...i havent heard of 6.88 rears....
-
always some old school show off!
Was your theme song "slow ride"?
-
Not unless you got stuck in the old 4x4 Mack that was our backup tandem. 46 mph! It spent a lot of time in neutral with the moose killer of a faster truck up against the tail roller.
