I was at one of our company parking lots several years ago which was unpaved and mostly sand, I'd spent all day waxing my truck and shinning the wheels when another truck came in with the engine fan on and running about 25 mph and dust boiling up all around, I put my polish and rags back in the side box and headed into the office to find the driver, he then comes out at the same time as I get to the door, well I read him the riot act. I was telling the driver how I had worked all day and what a idiot he was, and he was apoligizing all over himself and allowed as how he didn't realize he had come in that fast when all of a sudden the guilty truck went tearing out of the lot just like he had come in and I stood there with egg all over my face.

I pulled in to fuel at a truck stop the other day. A guy had literally jack-knifed in the area leading up to the fuel isles. The lot was packed snow.

About as much effort to hit the resume button on the cruise, once you allow a creeper to go by.

As a driver of one of those slow trucks, why should I slow to let you pass? I am going about my business in cruise control and now I need to slow down to accommodate you? If you aren't fast enough to pass me safely slow down and wait till it is safe to pass. I will break off if the f-tard next to me is taking a long time to pass and jeopardizing safety, but why did they not look at traffic conditions before they started the pass?

Speaking of which, here are a few of the things we slow trucks got to deal with.

    1) the guy who decides to pass us at the bottom of the hill, only to immediately lose speed and cause us to have to massively downshift because he didn't know he was heavy and couldn't climb.

    2) when you come upon a breakdown, emergency vehicle or heavy merge, and you signal, check your mirror, have a huge gap, begin your lane shift, and almost wreck because the "super trucker" in the left lane was going 85 and not paying attention.

    3) my favorite- you are going down the road in cruise and come upon a slower vehicle, you go to pass and see the driver on the phone, he sees you, makes an O S--t face and speeds up leaving you in the dust, only to have to repeat the entire thing 5 miles down the road. I guess their cruise control is broken.

    4) when your on tight curves with lower posted limits, doing those limits, and "super trucker" decides he's gonna pass you on the curve at 75 and can't maintain his lane causing you to have to swerve to avoid him.
