I buy Lucas upper cylinder lube and use it. Cheaper to get it from the local guy here by the case than in the truckstop.
Try to buy your fuel in states that don't have bio-diesel added in for now. I see my filters plugging up a lot faster when I use more biodiesel fuels. MN is back for that, ND, not so much. -
I don't have any problems except lower mpg with the bio-blends. Doesn't justify spending over $20 for some magic snake oil each fill up.
Get yourself a good filtration system.Davidlee Thanks this. -
you talking the FASS system?

Go to Walmart and buy a gallon of 2 stroke oil. 1/2 oz of 2 stroke oil per a gallon of fuel is recommened. FYI, we know they have remove alot of sulfer from the fuel BUT the refineries replace it with more ASH for lubrication. But I still use 2 stroke or marvels mystery oil( be warned its red so dont use so much). In the old days cheap transmission fluid is what I used on a cummins and even tried it on my E CAT engine with no problems but stop using it after reading here the down side on electronic injectors.

What ever happened to the $1/bottle cheapo tranny fluid in the tank every 2 or 3 tanks to clean everything out. I usually sump a bottle of that in when i fuel and call it good about every 3rd tank hasnt hurt anything yet but with what im saving over lucas i figure if it does hurt something down the line i can afford to fix it with the money im saving.

The big thing that hurts the transmission fluid is the color.
