I guess it's to show the idiots how much I love 'em. Next time I won't fight it if they want to get that close to me. I'll really give 'em a hug they won't forget.

As a new driver, my first time out was pleasent. People were much more curtious than I expected(I expected a total war zone!), so I was suprised. Now, there were alot of idiots out there, but not nearly as many as I expected from what I read on this site. You all are right about one thing. PEOPLE DONT KNOW HOW TO MERGE!! I see why the middle lane is preferred. One thought on improper merging... Maybe speed limit signs on "on" ramps would help. What do people do when they see a speed limit sign? Speed up or match the posted speed.
Either that, or start handing out tickets to those who merge 5MPH or more under the speed limit. :yes2557:

because , do you run in Georgia or around that part of the country? The corridor from D.C all the way thru Boston is like having electrodes attached to your skin, everywhere you move you get shocked until you can't take it anymore and beg your dispatcher to get you the hell outta there.

I drive in Fla, it may as well be DC, NYC, Boston, because people just suck driving down here.

plus the humidity alone is enough to kill you. Miami didn't seem too trucker friendly when I was there. Not many places to park it seemed like.

That's because Fl. is mostly populated from the kooks coming down from up north. It's the same looney tunes from D.C, Balt, Philly, N.Y, and Boston . They just migrated down there.

It's amazing how drastic the difference is among the 4-wheelers. When I was at RDTC driving, cars would run stop signs and turn in front of us just so they weren't stuck behind the big rig. Other cars would stop 30 feet behind the stop sign just so I could complete my turn and not hold up traffic for 5 minutes. Today, after going through hell trying to convert my WI CDL to a MI CDL, I saw a truck turning on to the small street in front of me. The pickup stopped about 40 feet back, and just that little act of kindness gave me some hope. I'm not really sure why the truck was going down that road, but at least he made the turn.

I was pulling into a gas station with an empty single drop low-bed. As I was pulling in, he was pulling out, I caught it at the last second as his headlight contacted the tbar and I stopped.

I got out of the truck and went up to him, I asked him wtf he was doing, he looked at me stupid, said he was sorry and slinked away. I was impressed though that he didn't blame it on me.

just the U.S that has the mental cases . It's all over Canada too. I think either the people are so mezmorized by the size of the truck that they lose all sense of reality, or they just think we have the ability to spin our heads 360 degrees and see everything all at once . I propose that someone manufactures warning signs that can be attached to the side of trailers. " stop , there is a truck in front of your bumper", " right turn signal is flashing.... this truck is turning right"
