Hey all,
I get a " pulse " coming thru my antenna, I am saying this because with my coax unhooked it goes away. This is with the truck off or on, different coax, different radios, different areas, etc. It doesn't matter where I am moving or not I get a static pulse about 2 seconds apart. I have really good swr. I am guessing more bonding ???
THANKS

See your cardiologist and have your pacemaker adjusted.

LOL, That would probably explain the sudden jolt I get every time I key up also

Run power right to the battery and see if that helps.
Also you can get 12 volt noise suppressors pretty inexpensive.
These type work pretty well,

Could just be something in the trucks electrical generating a RF pulse.
Does the ANL or noise blanking control on the radio help at all? -
Power ran directly to the battery, noise blanker makes no diff. I might just be too #### picky. It only does it when it's really quiet and I have the squelch opened up quite a ways, but I don't want it in there

With the truck off and still getting the noise is strange.
Maybe something outside the truck in your area?
Might just have to live with it......or change radios and see if the noise goes away.KAK Thanks this. -
My Jensen hands-free speaker deal for my cellphone causes a pulse noise on certain 2 mete FM ham frequencies. These new trucks have all kinds of electronic modules etc that can cause noise.
KAK Thanks this. -
Thanks guys,
I have tried 3 different radios, different areas, un plugging all cell phone related stuff, etc. Only thing I haven't tried is a diff antenna. I will try that and prolly just have to live with it.
