    Yeah, 3 feet.

Draped up and drifted out. Know what I'm talking about? Three in the morning, just stashed up my stash spot.

Waving from Exit 9 on I-40 in AZ....

Well, back in the saddle again. Just got back from six days TAH. Had to move in six days, not alot of fun. But it is done!!!!

Came back yesterday and was given a 1400 mile run from CA to OK. Already have a pre-assignment from OK to GA, 1000 mile run. Good to go!!!

Working my way down to Florida to see my kids, will be nice to see their lovely smiling faces.

No other complaints or otherwise, just rolling along. I have to throw down 1200 miles in the next two days to make my delivery apt in OK, no problem!!!

Checked my bonus scorecard on crossroads just a second ago, I am sitting at a 103. Woo hoo!!!

That's all for now.....Keep it safe and keeping it real.

Hey I got a quick question I drive a quad axel dump and longest trailer I pull is a 40ft and the equipment we haul is considered oversized Gota have all the signs and stuff on my truck when I pull it but I was wondering if that's considered tractor trailer exp. I'm only 21 but I have been driving since I was 18 for them I have driven some of there day cabs before when hauling around there cold mix plants but I have never been in anything with a sleeper or 53 ft trailer so just wondering what my exp would be considered as far as getting hired Otr anywhere

As long as you have a CDL you should have no trouble getting an OTR job.

I have my hazmat to but will I get hired as an inexperienced driver because I have no Otr exp technically even tho I'm gone 6 days of the week we sleep in motels we travel all over Wisconsin just don't leave the state and I've never had to do logs ither so I don't no how to do tht I work normally in the summer 80 to 100 hours a week and it's not uncommon for us to be driving 16 17 hours at the most a day very little sleep

Schneider will hire you as an inexperienced driver and put you through their 3 week training. They'll teach you to do e-logs as well as paper. You days of driving 16+ hours a day will be over. DOT limits a driver to 11 driving hours in a 14 hour work day. A 10hr break must be taken to reset the 11/14 rule. DOT also limits drivers to 70 work hours in 8 days. 34 consecutive hours must be taken off to reset the 70 hour clock.

Ya see that's like the stuff I have no idea about my day starts at 4am and ends when the foreman says so lol it's not uncommon to get five hours of sleep I could always squeeze another hour in but I guy has to shower and eat haha. I get paid hourly almost 20 an hour it's like 19.80 or something I've made as much as 1700 take home but it's average 1300 but keep in mind it's only from like April to November and then I'm laid off collecting max unemployment for winter I like the time off since we're so exhausted all summer but I'm really looking forward to a change into Otr we do alot of illegal stuff we avoid all weigh stations seeing as how we're constantly overweight and sometime even have full load of stone and ill be pulling something I feel like they really take advantage of us and it's getting old but I got free cdl out of the deal I'm debating weather or not I wana go back for another season

    Wow!!!

It's been way too long since I updated this thread, so here goes.

Just 'celebrated' my one year anniversary with Schneider. I have officially been moved from the Western 11 board to the 48 state board. This has resulted in many more miles and much longer runs. I am averaging about 480 miles a day since coming to the 48 state board.

Everything else is still pretty much the same, I stay out 3-5 weeks and take 5-7 days off after that.

I have been approved to lease a truck through Schneider and join the Choice program. I have not made up my mind yet. I have read all the excellent threads on here about being an O/O with Schneider and running the Choice program. I am just taking my time to decide if I am ready to go that route. I have no doubt I could succeed at it, there are personal things to consider as well.

All in all, I would say my first year with Schneider went very well. I have no serious complaints. I have been treated well, gotten lots of miles, and learned a lot.

Guess that's it for now. Leaving out of Laredo in the morning heading back to California for 5-6 days off.

    Keep it real.....
