Can cancer patient who uses cannabis be truck driver?

nothing stops you from obtaining your license yourself, you just can't get a job legally. or are you trying to answer a different question than the one that was posted?

Alcohol is legal to use, but not legal to use before operating any kind of machinery. Legal marijuana isn't any different.

 

I think that Safety Manager used to be a drill instructor . He said the same thing about the type of VD they have in Viet Nam . If you caught it you were listed as MIA and never allowed to return to the states .

I think some people sit around and dream up weird questions to ask that they already know the answers too.. of course you cannot drive a truck with a lot of cancers and certainly not while using pot,,,

There's a huge difference. Medical Marijuana is NOT legal in any form by the federal Government and alcohol is. The FMCSA still considers all marijuana as a scheduled 1 drug. And we should all know that the FMCSA does not allow any scheduled 1 drugs. All other medications are legal through the FMCSA if properly prescribed by a qualified doctor. A lot of people believe that there are a lot of medications that are not allowed because a company will not allow them. I suggest reding FMCSR §392.4 especially paragraph (c). The FMCSA puts the responsibility on the doctors and the companies. BTW, I do not agree with this regulation but it's the law.
