Hey guys I'm new to this forum I've only had my CDL for a year but I've been in a truck all my life. I've got a 62 Pete that I've had since I was about 10 my grandpa bought it got me I'm about ready to start building it but I need a few odd and end parts that it didn't come factory with such as sun visor and bigger fuel tanks and a classic little sleeper and some stuff like that if anyone could help me out or direct me to a possible web page or another forum that could help me out id really appreciate it

Classic- there is a site called largecarmagazine.com that has a lot of guys who drive and build custom large cars. There is some good information on there and a classified section

Thats my dream truck. Good luck finding a nice visor for one that old. If u cant I would think about sectioning a visor for a 359. They had a narrow cab. You might not have to chop to much out of it. Any decent chrome shop should have one in stock. Or at least be able to order one for u. As for tanks and and step boxes, and sleeper. I would look at local junkyard for 359 or 379. Just get the frame brackets too. If you do use a 379 sleeper use an early one. No ultra or unibilt. The unibilts have a bigger hole and the ultras need a taller roof. Where do u live?

Heard that they are a little pricey

KW bunks usually have the same frame as pete also

Put a Mercury Sleeper on it for period correctness and it will look cool!!! you can find a Mercury in 60",just look!!! I think you will be happy with that, keep the truck looking like it could have back in the day !!! Good luck with your project and keep pictures coming with progress!!!
