They are goin to a"performance" bonus filled with gotchas which will essentially prevent you from getting it. Ive heard this from several black hats.

I will wait for further details....but for now....thumbs down. Probably will include minimum miles per "x", something that we have no control over....

As per our telephone conversation, he was here over a year so if his local job is a driving one, he did his time OTR to get it.

i'm sure there's others that would like to be on that dedicated thing and he'd have to take his truck to one of the terminals so it could be readied for the next driver.

yes performance based and it was presented by J.C. at the last DAC meeting. When I get the scoop, I'll let you know. In talking with T.J. Any Driver can increase their cpm rate for the entire quarter based on the previous quarters performance up to an additional 6 cents per mile. When they changed the fuel bonus from the old system to the new, some of us who were always in the 4 cent range, now had to finish the quarter above 7.9 mpg to get 4 cents. Only done it once since the change so even if 2 of the 6 categories are not met, seems an additional 4 cents would be more than ive got since the change. We shall see..................

    Performance Based Bonuses

If Maverick goes this way it would not be too hard to believe. They are just modeling it after the rest of the industry. Most of them pay out on a monthly cycle, therefore you are "judged" monthly. This is good if you screw up on the first day of the month you are cleared within 30 days.
The problem with this type of system is eventually they will add so many factors that few people will achieve the bonus. Take Jordan for example, they MUST get their trucks washed every two weeks! If not, no bonus. They also have a snitch program where you can report another driver and get 50 bucks! And of course the driver being reported looses his bonus for the month.
