This is why drinking & driving is not smart!...cdl drivers really have to realize that their cdl is their paycheck and should do everything in their power to protect it.

This is clearly an example of someone who lacks the judgement skills to learn from his first mistake...makes it more imperative that he no longer can operate an 80k lb truck.

48Packard, Big Don, TRKRSHONEY and 2 others Thank this.

However, lifetime may not necessarily be lifetime. Reinstatement is possible after 10 years if that person has voluntarily entered and successfully completed an appropriate rehabilitation program approved by the state, according to 383.51(5).

we all know that you shouldnt do anything that impairs your driving any type of vehicle , ESPECIALLY a truck....they need to have more strict laws about drinking and driving...how many times do you hear that a drunk driver killed someone, only to find out that this wasnt the first time they had driven drunk..??? (and had been caught before and only received a slap on the wrist and turned loose to put others in danger? ) they are WAY to relaxed on this IMO...i hope this driver NEVER gets his license back....

if you dont have enough self control or common sense to not drink and drive, then you dont deserve a license..

This guy is lucky not to have his regular car license permanently suspended. He is even luckier that he is NOT doing prison time for years at a stretch.
