We did 2300 miles last week. Very interesting week. I enjoyed it, living in cab the size of a wwII sub is interesting. For one person not a problem, for two, not so much. Driving the hours is a piece of cake, I'm a marathon driver anyway. Trainer said I'm way ahead of the curve for a one week person. The lane doesn't look as narrow now. LOL learning what to take and leave. Picked up some supplies; box clipboard for the bol, logbook, ruler, directions binder I do, and pens. It is even red! LOL. It would be nice if there was some sort of printer for printing the directions from the Qualcomm.

Sooner, rather than later, you will end up in a tractor with one of the new style, touch screen, dash mounted Quallcom units, which have a built in GPS system. Also, they have set some of the newer units to diaplay while vehicle is in motion, which should help you out.

Until then, you just have to do what I always did, which is jot down your notes the old fashioned way with a pen and paper.

Im thinking about going to work for Averitt and was wondering, im going to be on the dedicated account for Butler, MO. Have to live within 150 miles of Butler preferably Iola, KS where i live or Abeline, KS. Was wondering if the customer is in Iola and Abeline also along with Butler can i Leave the truck in Iola since it is one of the customers we haul for instead of Leaving the truck in Butler and driving back and forth.

I don't know about that particular account but it is common to leave truck at dedicated customer and Averitt would probably prefer it anyway if it saved fuel.
