strong diesel odor in cab...

if you have a fuel pressure gauge in dash, check and see if line is leaking!

 

It's the fuel you spilled on your boots the last time you fueled.

 

I find that too be offensive...as it took me an hour to figure out thats why my cab smelled like diesel one morning. Lol

 

Mechanical gauge with a line straight to the engine. You would have to remove the line and plug it at the engine. Not sure exactly where Pete plumbs this, I am sure others here know precisely where it runs.

 

Bad design by Pete. Since it hasn't worked and you haven't missed it, I'd just plug the port on the engine. It should be on the filter housing, look for a hose going to the cab. If you really want a mechanical gauge, a few aftermarket gauge companies make isolators. A simple device with a diaphragm to allow a pressure reading without allowing fuel in the cab.

 

make sure you get the correct plug, it will have an o-ring on it to seal up when you tighten it down.

 

cat shop or any parts store or truck dealership would have it. no easy way except to wipe what you can with a rag. if it soaked into carpet - new carpet and foam mat underneath the carpet.
