    I'm sitting in Ontario now, waiting for a Thursday morning delivery in San Benardino. They have so far remained silent as to where I head after that. Pasadena I suspect.

    You might want to give Paul a call in Log Ops to put yourself on the radar screen. I don't usually stay in Ontario but this time it works out that I will. Should get there Thursday Afternoon. Last 2 times I was out there they headed me up to Sacramento to load. Looks like you will have a fresh reset in.

    I've had some discussions with Paul and after some consideration have decided to pass on a Monday load from Sacramento to Iowa City he offered and accept the dead head to Pasadena. The weather they're expecting up there doesn't suit me or my truck. You might be able to scarf it up if you're interested, though a Memphis driver is due in Anaheim tomorrow that I'm going to swap trailers with, so he might beat you to it.

    I don't have chains on the truck so Iowa City won't work for me. I heard the Grapevine and Ca 59 got shut down today. I will have to check the weather reports.

    Ped that sounds like your best move delivering Thursday. You will probably get a load out of Pasadena on Monday. I hope they give me a choice. It does look like the weather will cooperate getting up there.

    Update. I went down on Monday 2/18 did dot physical and agility test. Than back to high point and did road test. Was so strange having a sleeper truck pulling the waste water tanker. For last 8.5 years been driving day cab with pups, 40-53' trailers or doubles. Passed everything. Got call so i can start in 2 weeks. I am excited and very nervous. Guess like any new job.

    Was it loaded? You in in for a treat with your first snot load. They bump pretty good. With your experience you will do fine. Most of your training will be learning to unload the truck. You will also spend a week in Greer SC for hazmat training.

    It was empty. But the freightliner i used had some power. Trucks i been driving were crap compared to that. Y'all know how volvos for ltl are under powered.

    I have prostar. Its underpowered for the weight we pull. Most of the time its maxed out on weight. It climbs Fancy Gap at around 30 MPH.
