Well I wake up this morning. Light rain and cold there in OKC. My wife and I walk to the fuel island and I get coffee and she goes to the ladies room. I stand outside waiting.
Then we go to the trk.. Allmost time to leave so I go in and get more cooffee for the trip and new wiper blades for the trk..
Coming out one of the other drivers I have become friends with at the company I'm at sees me and says your trk. got hit. Yea right. No really your wife came to my trk. and was yelling help her please..
So I pick up the pace and sure enough, my left front fender is hit. My fender mirror is twisted back. I'm thinking, He pulls forward how did the mirror go back.
Well he backed up and spun it backwards. Ok.
Then him and some of his running buddies, are telling me to back up so he can get out and leave..I'm like we need to fill out a report. No we called the site guy for the move he knows, it's ok. No I need a report. My friend's wife is telling him we need report. He tells her that I can go forth and reproduce myself and they leave..
Well I'm slightly upset and wanna kill somebody. Things happen. Trk. can be fixed and will be. Nobody hurt..
Wife was in the trk. and felt it shake when it happened. She blows the horn. He stops, then goes forward again. She blows the horn again.. He stops and then backs up..
Oh he had a pilot car with him also.. What she was doing I do not know as like I said I was inside...
When they were leaving a couple of the others guys said no big deal, it's an in house problem and we need to go.. Great right. Me I'm taking pics and calling in to my office. They tell me who to call at the main office.
Here's the neat part. We are all with the same company. Never once did he even say sorry. All he said was I need to back up so he can get out and get going..

He damaged the ld. he has on. Big rub marks on the unit. Will not buff out..

    Here are some pics. 2013-02-20_07-05-52_26.jpg 2013-02-20_07-14-49_589.jpg 2013-02-20_07-15-14_987 (1).jpg 2013-02-20_07-15-14_987 (1).jpg IMG_20130220_075308.jpg IMG_20130220_075359.jpg IMG_20130220_075222.jpg

nice to know you work for a company where consideration for your fellow driver is a given, huh?

not meant to be a slam on you or the company, only the inconsiderate slob who basically hit and ran. im assuming you are a company driver, so its not your equipment. still, given the same circumstances, id have given serious thought to calling the cops, and certainly wouldve expressed those thoughts to the safety department when i called them to report the incident and the ridiculous behavior that followed. without having contacted anyone, and without having some sort of mutual agreement with the other driver, cant see any other option but that what they did is a crime.

You can pick who you lease on with, you can't pick who else chooses to lease to the same carrier.

    What a turd.

    No I own the trk.
The company is not real happy with the driver who hit me. The safety dept. is really po'd at the other guy.
No way am I knocking the company. They told me get an estimate asap and they will take of the repair..
I'm just mad at the other driver and his so called buddies...
These guys all have to run together I guess so they can hold ech others hand or johnson. Don't wanna know if true...
He knew I was parked there. Me I was parked in a proper spot. Him not a proper spot and had like 6' from his right side to my hood. Why he swung right I'll never know. He could of gotten out the way he was. We both have stretch lds. on..
Just the fact they all had to go. But mst of them could of left yesterday after they lded.,but had to wait for all the so called crew was ready to go..
I hate rig moves. might be my last. Good money, but I'm not sucking up to the crew to be part of the click. And I'm no going to squeal like a pig either.. Exit only on this fat man....

Like I have said, safety is not happy he did not report it to them directly. He called our site person who was at customer lining up this mornings trks. for lding..
I also called him and he stressed I call safety before leaving.. Emailed report and pics. She then had to call him and say what happened. Oh yea I did hit his trk Nothing major, just cracked his hood..:biggrin_25510:
Bent my bumper, bent the brackets to my fender behind the steer tire. Twisted my fender mirror and made the bolt hole in the fender bigger than factory drilled it out. Had to buy some big fender washer to fix it temp.

These things cna be fixed. Nobody got hurt.. That is the main thing.
I guess I'm just venting how he and his buddies thought it was no big deal and it held them up from leaving. Just glad my wife was in the trk. or they may have tried to leave and not tell anyone and let me take the fall all on my own and out of pocket.
Oh yea, my dash cam was off because my wife needed to charge her mobile, an dunplugged it due to the fact we were sitting still. No I'm not mad at her.. Honest

Well looking at your rig, there is a good chance with you being from the peach state we might cross paths.
look Forward to it, I think I have read almost all 1700 plus of your post on here, You seem to be the kind of hand I could share a cup of joe with, and not have to worry about hearing a bunch of BS...
When I find out if my new house is going to be Black or Red I will post a pic on here.. the company I am going to work for only has 5 trucks pulling OS/OD over the road, 4 or 5 pulling local 3 state area here in Southern Virginia... I am sure you will know the company East Coast Specialized Hauling.. I am just waiting on him to decide which truck I am taking, I am not picky both well kept different rear is only big diff besides color..

Glad the company you are leased to is going to take care of the damage, and atleast it won't keep you from working.. Those "rig crew boys" seem to have the "God complex" to not even check to see if anyone was inside the truck, and to take off like a bunch of kids in a race to go sit and wait is a pile of crap....

Well my mail goes to south Ga.. We have a house there, but send most of our time off in Thailand..
Before I went inside, I told him if he was ready to leave just ask my pilot car to move..
He knew I was inside as he was there wanting to buy to rolls of shew. The sales rep. said we are out. He saw me standing there at the counter.
Sad thing is in a way, my wife was talking with his wife yesterday. My wife is from Thailand and his wife is Fillipinio. They seemed to hit it off together... No perverts, not that way..:biggrin_25513:

That makes it even worse... It is not often out here that you can find someone the boss gets along with...

I will check in from time to time to see where you are.. I will bring the beer and buy the groceries if you can convince your Wife to cook, not trying to pick up on her just in case some smart guy says something..
I worked with a hand, (we actually moved togther to a company after working togther for 7 years) he is now in Thailand with his Wife and kids... She was here in the States 2 years ago for 3 months I absolutely love homemade Curry anything.. And Bami Mu Daeng ( I think that is right) Noodles with red beef..
That is if she would be willing to allow me to partake and she was willing to cook, I will do the dishes, and anything else she would ask to help with making it..
