sounds like it would go into the same category as "ran out of fuel" and "killed the batteries and had to get jumped" and "locked the keys in the truck". the company gettingn you towed out of a situation that you may or may not have had any responsibility for creating is not something that is likely to show up on your record anywhere, other than an internal employee record that might some day get you fired if you rack up enough of these "incidents". it is not something they will share with a prospective "new employer". so no, you need not disclose each incident like the ones you and i listed. if youd gotten stuck on the highway, and leo came and called the wrecker and issued a ticket, THEN it would be on your record.

 

Usually doesn't work when very cold as WD40 tends to freeze. WD40 is not supposed to freeze until approximately -60F but I shot some in a Master lock when the temp was around 0F and it froze so solid in seconds and the key hole was so solidly plugged with frozen WD40 that I couldn't insert the key.

While this isn't something that happens every day, I don't see any reason for it to be a big enough deal for you to bring up. And I don't think you will be asked about it. It wasn't considered an accident, so I just don't see any problem there.

 

I once had to be towed from the EB Will Rogers turnpike toll plaza. I should have kept my toll ticket as a souvenir as my truck broke down before I paid and when I was towed, the tow trucks pike pass paid it so I never turned the ticket from Big Cabin in, lol.

 

If it is a key lock, hold your key with a pair of pliers, heat key with lighter, match, etc. Insert key into lock and move back and forth, repeat if needed, this has worked for me many times over the years.
