Separate, and DAC is now Hireright, after another name change that worked out so poorly I no longer recall what it was,
Wrote too soon, I think it was USIS. My company never used it until they started using it to verify employment eligibility in the meat packing plant.
It's a subscription service that employer/subsribers use to post information on and also investigate potential employees. It's not a government entity,
MVRs are found by them but they don't have anything else to do with the DMV/BMVs around the country.mje Thanks this. -
MVR is a state agency doc.
DAC or whatever it's called today, is a private unregulated company. if you join as a company you can have anything put on it.mje Thanks this. -
MVR is your H6 10-year DMV print out. (It's called an H6 in california; not sure about where you are at )
DAC is a private kind of organization, from what I understand.mje Thanks this. -
Think of your DAC as something similar to a credit report but on your driving, inspections and whatever other crap
some company wants to state about you.mje Thanks this. -
you can get a free copy of your DAC mailed to you.
mje Thanks this. -
You only have to worry about DAC if you drive for bottom feeders as that is how they keep tabs on their driver pool. Small companies don't even know there is such a thing. Now your MVR keep it clean as that's your bread money.
mje Thanks this.
