Central Refrigerated Truck Stop II

Thanks. Lady K, I saw in one of your earlier posts on here that a few of you drivers were discussing West Valley Detention Center and talking about the gas prices. What is that about? Do you guys deliver to prisons or something?

 

LOL... That's a good one

West Valley is the SLC yard... When you head in, you have to drive through some inspection bays. Depending on time of day and how busy they are you can spend quite a bit of time waiting... Hence the 'detention center'... At least I think that's what they were talking about... I think I missed that post.

 

*shakes his head* you guys use some confusing lingo for us newbies. I was wondering how the heck you guys were fueling up at a Detention Center and comparing the prices to truck stop fuel prices...I was like WTF? LOL! Glad you cleared that up for me

 

just a little tip the less time you sit in truck stops and rest areas ######## to other drivers about how bad your dm and the more driving you do you will be a lot better off the biggest thing is just drive if your dm can trust you then you can trust them

 

Are there any posts where a new recruit walks through his day-by-day experience starting at Central? What happens on monday, tuesday, wednesday, etc, of the very first week?

 

Its a long read, but this has been our Central Story... So far It might not go into quite the detail you're looking for, but it will give you some idea.

 

Cool! So I assume classes always start on Monday?

 

I had a husband and wife team in my training class in Fontana back in 05...I have no idea if they are still with Central or not...been too long ago even though it seems like yesterday....LOL
