I have been talking with Great American Lines. the office I been speaking to is out of Detroit MI although their DOT is registered in PA.

Anyway, there is an old thread on here about them but it died out awhile ago. I was wondering if anyone has any new/updated info on them? I would be hauling vans for them. Also the info packet they sent me has Universal on it as well as Great American. Is this the same as universal am can?

Thanks and be careful out there!

They have universal can, mason dixon, LTi , universal logitics solutions, great american lines, which is all under (Universal Truckload Services) Great American Lines is out of Murrysville PA. right outside Pittsburgh Pa. A friend of mine drives for Great american Lines and he's a company driver.(Reefer van) Never said anything bad about them yet to me, they still use logbooks and no qualcomm. Thinking about jumping aboard with them myself cus its only one hour from the house. You might google Great American Lines in Murrysville Pa. and find anything about them. I've talked to a few drivers at truck stops and never got anything bad about them that work there, so thats a good thing you can say.

You won't have a problem with the checks clearing. You can also haul freight for all their sister companies.

    Beethoven Thanks this.

They are the old JT Cowan used to be union they became Key Way (we called them cheapway) they got tangled up with scheduled truckways Priority and a bunch of other shister outfits in the early 90s. Joe Cowan own the place. Most of the office people are were arrogant nasty types back then.I do not imagine much has changed since then, but I may be wrong. They bought an outfit I was leased to in the 80s (Ty Pruitt Trucking) good man good outfit and basicly ruined him and his name.
