You are so wrong. I've worked for a lot of companies, big and small. I am at the best company I've ever worked for now, and we have elogs, and I run more miles than I did on paper. It's all in knowing what you're doing!

I can understand the exceptions Trucail But for the average OTR or Regional driver this is going to mean he spends a lot of time sitting. If im in a dock for 7 hours getting loaded while i sleep i'm getting my butt up fixing stuff and driving. Elogs would tell you to find the nearest truck stop and live another 10 hours in a vibrating box making no money.
-
That's not true, you can do split sleepers, do it all the time.
MBunt387 Thanks this. -
But your right, the company matters a lot, Werner was the worst. Until this company that was the only elog experience I had and I never wanted to see them again. The company, and you yourself, have to know how to use them!

I do split sleeper all the time on elogs and never once has that thing told me to find a truck stop. Lol these myths are funny

From what I've gathered in reading other threads... you say yes to a lease... they get you a new truck... down the road a bit you figure out it's not for you... you do whatever... they absorb the truck into their fleet give it to a company driver or another lease... Bottom line is you have had a hand in buying the truck for them... because you get back $o of your investment.
-
Don't count on it being a "NEW" truck, either. From what I have heard, it may be a "very used" and/or possibly rebuilt wrecked truck.
-
So you heard that huh. What you hear and what a company actually does are 2 different things. You better focus on getting the exp and knowing the company before thinking about leasing.

Pete... As a driver for transam.. I ask you honestly... What you think of transam as a company...? How long have you been there and what is your true assessment... not as a recruiter, but as an employee... I would desire to be a company driver... Thanx....

Who do you work for...?
