There's nothing wrong with the ministry expecting a percentage . It costs over $20,000 to build a trailer and there are training costs for chaplains . -
Tell your wife to to call you every sunday[ morning to make sure you go,lol.QUOTE=awjones;3124306]Thanks everyone, Man they aint a question you can ask without getting a quick answer . Thank You, that's the name, i did not know about the franchise but did know that they took donations to keep them going. When i as driving for a company in Green Bay my Saftey Director was and still is a Minister for a church up there, i told him about TFC back in the mid to late 90's, he was interested in them but do not know if he ever made a connection with them...

There are also some churches who will come to truck stop s and pick you up. 1st Baptist in Gary, Indiana sends out people to all the truck stops. Very nice church. I down load pod cast from my favorite pastors and I listen to them everyday. If you have satellite radio there is a channel that has those who teach sound doctrine.. Also when my computer is down I'll search the radio you can sometimes find a good station who has good ministers on. Sadly religious people think going to church is what keeps you from sin. Being born again having a thirst and hunger for righteousness and his word. Is what strengthens you in your battle against sin. Going to church once or twice a week just doesn't do it. We need to be filled daily. Also a truck is good time to mediate on the Word of God since you don't have all the distractions. So if you are serious about your relationship to God. Then You will probably grow stronger if you use your time wisely. God bless.'
RickG, Myoneload, BritChick and 1 other person Thank this. -
Dinomite took the words out of my mouth, well he actually said it way better than I could! However I will add, my husband takes his bible and reads it every day! (course not all of it

I've seen a few truck stop chapels. One was in a train car, one was in a big truck trailer. Seems like I've seen one in Tennessee somewhere(?) But if you're on the road on a Sunday and theres not a church nearby, just pray in your truck.
Myoneload Thanks this. -
Almost all the TSs I have been to have had a chapel trailer open ample hours, not just sundays. Or they had an area in the TS itself. Look around for the hand written signs.. hehehee
But don't restrict yourself to needing a building. Jesus was not a proponent of needing one to commune. AFAIR...
MikeeeeMyoneload Thanks this.
