YOU KILLED SOMEONE. You are lucky you are not in jail as a result of your negligence, yet here you are whining because you can't find a job? Guess what, neither can the guy pushing daisies.
-
Nope not that I am aware of.

The police officer can issue you a ticket for whatever he feels like writing....doesn't mean you are guilty until you've had your day in court. I'd be interviewing attorneys trying to find one willing to go to bat for you...stuff like researching the history of that intersection, looking into toxicology reports on the other driver, etc...basically doing whatever it takes to get a "not guilty" verdict when that citation goes to court. If you can get that tossed, you'll have an easier time getting hired than if you have a guilty verdict.

The person that died didnt have their seat belt on. The other people in the van that had their seat belt on survived. I am amazed that some people only look at a situation from only 1 direction.

don't be surprised if one day you get a letter from the DMV to surrender your license.
-
Be prepared for most the members to see this as one direction.I'll try to be nice because afterall,I was'nt there.

How deep are your pockets? If accidents including fatalities happen ther try suing the township, county, or whoever has jurisdiction of that road. If you win you might be able to use that as your defense. Once you say you want to sue a lawyer will listen because they get paid. Just an idea.
-
I seriously doubt that is going to happen. The lawyer for my ex boss's insurance company said that nothing else should come of it. Are you telling me that everyone here is perfect and never made a mistake with not yielding?? The lawyer said that it was a common mistake and in his experience no one he has seen ever been charged for that. There is no charges against me other than the ticket the officer issued.

Why would the DMV "take" his license? Accidents happen each and everyday without people losing thier licenses.
Now if there is a trail and he is found guilty of vehiclular manslaughter or something of the nature and the judge orders his license revoked then I could see him losing his license. Otherwise how could the DMV take it away?Last edited: Feb 26, 2013
