Are companies require to pay for cat scale tickets? If you're overweight either over 80000 or on either axel does it affect the drivers csa score?...according to my company if we load 43500-44000 we shouldnt be overweight so they don't want to pay for scale tickets or overweight fines

Depends on the company- some pay for them, some don't. No, an overweight ticket doesn't carry a points penalty. It could be real easy to be overweight on an axle group with a 44k pound load if they load it poorly.

Its your(drivers) responsibility to not be over weight in the first place! Unless there was no way for driver to scale then company should pay, but if there is a scale and driver was lazy, then he should pay

44 45k wwould be fine if it were to load 40ft aka Cali style and put tandems @40'

My company pays for the CAT Scale ticket but not the overweight ticket that DOT gives you because it's our (the driver's) responsibility to NOT be overweight ... like the gentlemen said up there ^^^

    Silent Thanks this.

Well I guess my company is on some bs they don't want to pay for cat tickets and claim we should be legal hauling 43500-44000 and there's no need to scale and if we get an overweight ticket we got to pay it

Do the overweight tickets go to the driver or company and if not paid can drivers get cdl suspended?

The pedal on the right makes my truck go 90 mph, is it MY CSA points or does the company pay when I get caught?

YOU THE DRIVER pay the ticket and get the CSA hit. If your company does not want to pay for CAT scales then they probably will leave you hangin' when it comes time to pay the overweight ticket.

You probably need to find another steering wheel to hang on to.

I guess you're right I need to find another steering wheel...they make me drive illegal with no hours and give me this heavy loads and can't even pay $10 for a #### cat scale ticket
