    Will my truck start and run with a broken belt? I don't want to have to have it towed to the shop if I can drive it in.

    I haven't tried. I talked to the dealer and they told me I had to take the fan and some other parts off to put the belt on.

    If you run it without a waterpump, you don't cool the engine. You don't cool the engine, you overheat it. You overheat it, you warp a head or cause a head gasket to go out.

    So no, I would NOT recommend driving the truck into the shop unless it's across the parking lot.

    I thought that. How hard is it to put the new belt on a C-15?

    I don't know about the acerts, but it's extremely easy on my 6nz and you don't need to remove the fan...
