I have only used E logs and am now going to a company with paper logs. Any ideas/pointers? and/or websites/programs to look at for a quick reference?

nothing different than running elogs. Just YOU are making the lines now instead of a computer. You still have to show when you load/unload, fuel, flag your inspections and all.

Use a straight edge and a Zebra 301 Pen. Your logs will look 10X neater than free hand.

You still have to put the same information on the logs as you do with a computer.

Get a small credit card calculator. It seems foolish, but it will save you math errors. And I have math all the way up to College Trig and started on Calculus. I STILL use my simple little calculator.

Download the Daily Drivers Log program. 14 day trial, $50 for a one year licence. Pretty cheap way to make sure you stay legal. There are also some phone apps that do the same thing. Whenever I run paperlogs, I duplicate it on the 'puter to keep me from making stupid math errors after a long day.

just make sure you don't go couple days and then try to fill out logs so hard to rember. also always stay a little behind yourself at least last stop that way you can make some adjustment as needed never sign them to you are sure they are passable and if you have to wait till morning to make hours work out wait.with paper you can always get to where you want within reason and let time catch you

    aiwiron Thanks this.

I also keep a little notebook with city, miles and times in them for when I stop and what not. My memory is good, but not that good.

Check your scale tickets if you have to turn them in. They may have a date AND time stamp that HAS to match your logs.

Remember that your PrePass, fuel card transactions are ALL time stamped as well as date that your company gets daily reports on. They get audited, the DOT WILL sit down with those reports and compare them to your logs.
