    Hi all.
    I'm new to Truckers Report.
Been reading a lot of good things about H O W.
I just finished my training at Eagle, in Lake in the Hills, IL, and am scheduled to start orientation there on the 12th.
Any advise for a new guy, just fresh out of driving school?
Everyone I have talked to there has been very nice, they all seem like real decent folks.
I'm looking forward to the training and getting on the road.
    Thanks.

Have a few things to finish up at home before I head up for orientation. They said the 12th was ok for me to start.

Best advise, ask questions and listen to the answers! Butch usually works with the new trainees in the yard and is a wealth of information as well as a great guy.

When your out with a trainer make sure your getting the experience you need. Some trainers are OTR some regional and some local, regardless of who you get make sure your covered for what you need. If you haven't been down a mountain driving, ask for it, ask for city driving, rush hour driving etc. Experience as much as you can with your trainer rather than finding yourself doing it alone without guidance.

Exchange numbers and make friends with the people you train with as well as other drivers you meet. Drivers are great about sharing information on shippers/receivers, secret parking spots, good routes etc. Ask for info and be willing to share what you know.

Good luck at HOW, hope to see you In the yard.
