I might be a bit late for any helpful input..Fontaine make a smaller fifth wheel, the CD700. It uses similar parts that the big ones do , I sold several many years ago for 4500 series trucks for hauling small cattle trailers.. 25,000 down and 75000 draw bar pull capacity.. My 2 cents.

If you didnt buy one yet id go with a Binkley/holland 5th wheel. its built like a bull. all the steel is well over the RV towing mark LOAD CAPACITY: 8,000 lbs. Maximum Vertical Load
GROSS TRAILER WEIGHT CAPACITY: 32,000 lbs. its the best ive used and it wont sag. i trust it 1000000000 precent over the RV units. just google, if you want pics just ask or google it. i promise its the best you can buy for under 500
