That's what I'm talking about. I bought an 18V impact wrench for setting up the A-Frames because doing it with a socket set takes too long. I have all my receipts for tools/clothing. Pretty much anything that isn't Shower/Hotel/Food and isn't reimbursed by Maverick I keep. I have a portable scanner than I use to scan all my receipts for these things into my laptop and then I can just E-Mail them home for accounting purposes.
I am on the company Per Diem.
I did it on my own for the last 8 months at SNI only because they were charging drivers 2CPM to be on the Company Per Diem as a "Management Fee."

That's what I said. They force company drivers onto it for 90 days. At 90 days you can opt out. Some people choose to stay on it though because they don't want to deal with keeping track of their logs themselves so do it with their taxes at the end of the year.

It's their way of saying they start a driver at 29CPM but then only pay them 27CPM. -
Hey razor I'm in the beginning process of recruitment. How long does it usually take for them to get and process all the info? I'm looking to get into the glass division also. Do you still enjoy it? How is the pay?

It took them about 3 weeks from the time I submitted my application to get all the info they needed.
I an enjoying it so far. Some days are not so much fun but it isn't terrible. -
Here's the messed up load I got last night. It was edgier to just use both lumber tarps than trying to use 1 lumber, 1 steel, and 1 glass.
3 open stoces on A frames in the middle taller part. 1 small rack on the front deck. 3 small racks and 2 large racks on the back. Took 5 hours to load and tarp it all.

Finished around midnight last night. Got in my truck and pushed or front again. That's when I realized I forgot my computer at home. It's going to be a long 2 weeks for me without it. -
How's your average weekly check, and do they pay on time?

So far my average is around $950. But I've only been here 2 weeks.
Of course they pay on time. They direct deposit my check into the bank every Friday.
I would never work for any company that couldn't pay me. If my check isn't there on Friday, they better have a good reason. If its a matter of a company not having the money, the truck will stop until I get paid. Its simple as that. No pay, no work.raetnrunner and Kutina Thank this. -
Is that before or after taxes? I've been getting $1,000/week just off boxes. Maybe your miles will pick up when it really heats up later in the season. With your pay rate, you should easily clear $1,500/week before taxes.

Those are before taxes and health insurance. Last week was about $850 and this week was a little over $1100.
For me to make $1500 I would have to cover nearly 3000 miles. Not going to happen anytime soon. It takes a while for me to get loaded with glass. I'm getting better at it, but still learning as well. It took me 2 hours to unload tonight because all I did was drop the trailer and take my equipment off. Most of that was removing the bungies and tarps and folding them up.Kutina Thanks this.
