It sounds like you have an ABS power issue, not an ABS issue. If you have the same setup as me and all of the ABS stuff is in the first panel on the left, you could easily have a bad or no connection on the power distribution block since the ABS light came on when you jumped it. Until you get the power situation resolved, don't worry about the light staying on.
ABS assistance please....

Why not have someone run a diagnostic link to your ABS sensor and see why the ABS light is staying lit? That might be a clue.

What kind of ABS is it? A Wabco system will hold the light on after repairs until it senses wheel speed to complete the self diagnostic check. You have to drive 5-7 MPH before it will go out. The ABS ECU turns the light on, so the ECU is probably not dead if the light is working. If the light does not go out, you need to get flash codes or hook it to a computer to see why.

Ahh, thanks for the info guys. I am going to re-supply the ABS power today and take it for a spin and see how it does.
I kow the trailer ABS is working because I drove down the raod and pulled the trailer brake lever and the ABS kicked in as it should have and did not lock up the brakes, did the grab and release thing.... so
Fortycal, my system is set-up just like yours is on the fuse-panel side. The ABS is the ONLY system in that block that does not have power, the other couple fuses in there all have power and work fine. I found that no pwer was going inot the reset switch, but when I powered it up, the ABS worked and the light came on. So my guess is that somewhere the power got disrupted. I appreciate the help!!
