I am trying to find out which truck has the widest mattress. My wife who is disabled and does not drive rides with me. We like to sleep on the same bed which makes it pretty cramped in our present truck.
I have owned a Western Star with a 48" wide mattress (86" sleeper) which slept well but the fuel economy was less than desireable.
I have heard that Volvo makes a midroof model with a 54" wide mattress but I would prefer the taller sleeper.
Any info would be appreciated. I would like to stick with the largest stock sleepers rather than the custom sleepers.
Thanks.

I've seen a freightliner with an 84" sleeper. You could get it with wider storage space or the wider bed. Not sure the bed size but it looked about the size of a queen.
-
Not that you would get one but didn't the Peterbilt 362 cabover offer a double size mattress?
Dominick253 and Hammer166 Thank this. -
Kenworth T2000 not sure on measurements but the matress seem fairly big.

I remember you used to have the "big bed" option on the Freightliners with the 84" sleeper, although I'm not sure what the dimensions of that bed were.

Drove a K100 and that mattress looked as big as an acre inside that cabinover.

Probably not relevant to you Americans, but I've seen freightliner Argosies with the 110' cab (equiv to century/Columbia 58" sleeper) with a wider bed instead of cabinets behind the seats.

Pete 362 queen mattress had my microwave and stuff on 1/2 of it .... Just couldn't stand up in the morning lol
Dominick253 Thanks this. -
remodel your sleeper and you can put whatever size you want in there

Check out the Western Star 4900sb with the aero package.
I'm pretty sure the Volvo 730 has a big bed option, so I guarantee you can order that in a 780, but you might have to delete the second bunk.
