    After the magical 1 year under your belt, saying of course accident free & all that, where are the good companies to start looking at? Im doing ok, just think maybe it could be better down the road. I think theres better than .35/mile & 2000 mi/wk. Im in Nebraska. .35 seems ok, but I dont get dock pay which sucks sometimes. Not lookin to job hop. Just lookin for a place that appreciates their drivers a bit more & makes them feel like they're a part of a family. Stayin where Im at for @ least 8 more months, just lookin into the future. Thanks

    Hi Jim and congrats on the 1 yr mark.Thats a good feeling isn't it?No matter how little or how much exp you have I think you may have a tough time finding that perfect company that actually appreciates their drivers.You may find one that has more mileage and pay but not much more far as the pay goes.Everyone wants things for free including the drivers.We work hard but yet the pay just isn't there.You may find a good company at first but the second you refuse a load or late,you'll soon be on their black list.Don't believe those ads saying we appreciate our drivers,its just a line to lure them in.

    Congrats on the 1 year. Give g2 a call he might have a truck available to throw you in. Hes out of plymouth hauls anhydrous ammonia. No idea what he pays his company drivers but pays O/Os 75% gross and on 5 loads it was about 7k/week.

    arn't we all looking for new company well i know i am. been in shop for 5days 3 of the days in a hotel room. they have no clue whats going on with the truck. last 3weeks been under 2k miles. so when the truck is out of shop im requesting to be sent to a yard. and turning the dang truck into them.

    I've thought about tanker, flatbed, hazmat, it doesn't matter to me. I know there's a certain skill set required for all of those which I'm willing to learn. Gonna stick it out where I'm at for a while. I like pretty much everyone I work with, its mainly miles, but it is winter & that could change
