I personally think that I would have the KW shop, or a truckstop shop like T/A do the repairs & PMs instead of Trans-Am shop. Not sure if you could get the job done correctly at the Trans-Am shop, because they might be biased. What im saying is they could charge more for the service than what you could get it done for less somewhere else. And then again maybe they would give you a discount I just aint sure.

well got back from being on trainers truck. in class on mon and tues they pushed the lease HARD. most L/O got their trucks. unfortunately anyone going company was told there are no trucks available and are going back out on trainers trucks for $40/day! i think more than half of them are going to quit if this happens. not sure if this is another scare tactic to try and push lease but to put them back out for less $$ than before doesn't seem fair at all. i understand sitting at the hotel for $50/day, or getting paid to go do recoveries, but this is crazy. dont know too many people that can survive on $40/day...

Sending them BACK out with a coach? Thats a new one. Sounds like a crappy deal. Hope they show up with company trucks soon.

This is just my two cents worth, but I would think there would be some questions about the legality of them doing that. When they approve you to attend their orientation they are in effect saying that so long as you comply with the orientation process and safety standards of TransAm you qualify for a job as a driver. If you have met all of those requirements and they put you back out in a truck, where you know that you will be taking your turn driving, wouldn't you be legally considered a driver and entitled to a driver's pay? After all, you have completed the orientation and training process and are now eligible to drive solo. I would think that trying to put you back in a truck to team drive for $40 a day would not serve them well at all and will eventually bite them in the behind. If they don't have any trucks available, by all means put you in a truck with someone else to drive team, it is just more experience for you, but give you the driver's pay that you have earned. Hang in there and I hope it works out for you.OldTruckerMan Thanks this.

seems to me when you agreed to go there as a company driver they should be making aragements to have a truck when you get back from training ,but i see honeybadger state earlier that the new 680s are arriving so they need to pressure you into leasing so they dont sit and trans am has to make the payments on them .same old story as when i was there 3 years ago there nothing but a bunch of scumballs who dont give a lick about there drivers as long as there rippng you off on your lease payment, hey why dont they ask the recruiter who got you there to live on 40.00 a day,
