Is there any adjustment to the door hinges to tighten the seal between the door and the cab?
I have adjusted the door latch in a little and it helped but was wondering if the hinges had any adjustment to them to pull the front of the door tighter to the cab.
I put new door rubber on and still get that air leak at the top front of the door seal. Very annoying!
On windy days it gets really bad!

If I shut the door hard enough it will seal on mine they take a lot of force to get closed all the way at least that's the way mine is .
EZ Money Thanks this. -
Yea,I tried that. It latches tight but the front of the door is just not in enough.
Going to look at the hinges today, maybe loosen the nuts and see if there is any give to them.
It is almost like the top of the door needs bent in...lol! -
The boss decided not to trade? Would guess there is some adjustment to it. International have come a long way on quality . Just remember those 9670s , man those were junk. Makes rainy days fun ?

We fought that issue and one driver got smart and made a stop at Lowe's and put some household window gasket above the rubber seal on the door....problem solved!

Yea,we are keeping these trucks for the rest of this year....bummer!
At least i only have to live with it until then....lol!
Good idea! i have a couple rolls of that and may give it a shot if the hinges don't adjust....
Thanks guys! -
The doors are actually too flexable and the wind pulls on the mirrors and bows them out. There are a couple of things you can do. 1st, install washers inbehind the bottom hinge between the door frame and the hinge. This makes the bottom stick out a bit, but also pivots the top in a bit. 2nd, with the door closed, but the hood open you can loosen the nuts that hold the hinge to the door. I have had some success with pulling out the weather stripping, leaving the bottom nut on the bottom hinge tight, then loosening the rest, have a big guy push the door against cab, retighten the nuts, then reinstall the stripping and check the fit. Lastly you can pull down the weather stripping and take an adjustable wrench and pry out that metal strip a bit all along the front and top of the door jam that the weather stripping fastens to. Sometimes you have to do all three to get a good seal. Good luck!

Thanks Heavyd!
You can see the top of the door flex on windy days.
I was able to get a little adjustment from the hinges but will sure try the other tricks too....Good info man! I appreciate it!
I also have some 3-M weather strip i could stick behind the rubber seal. I will do all of them and see what happens.
No wind noise would be great. -
I hear yah. I have taken enough trucks on road tests to hear all sorts of noises. I get annoyed with them only after 15 or 20 mins, I can only imagine you guys having to suffer day in and day out!

I think you should try a method that I normally used to try when I face such problems like
1. Is that door have a junk?? If it so then try to put a little oil over the attachments from where the door is attached, this may lead to move that door smoothly!!
If this wouldn't work then try this one!!
2.Just try to adjust the door hinges to tighten the seal between the door and the cab?
I wish these methods would help you!!
