sorry, this one just sounded funny!

The driver must've been going too fast, or not tied down or whatever...anyway....
I saw a flat hauling something under a tarp, the load was only about 2 1/2 - 3' high...
the tarp had straps sew in, hooks on the end of the straps, and it was totally tied down with bungees. bungees hooked to loops on straps, around the frame rail, and back up thru the hook.
No other straps as far as I could tell, not even under the tarp. I could just see under the edge of the tarp, but not enuf to tell what kind of load it was.Tied down really neatly, but I was wondering if just using bungees like that was really all that good/safe?
Just curious. I see all kinds of stuff here... on I35 West below Ft Worth. Not bad down here, but I 35 East... not such a good part of Dallas.....
Y'all take care.

it can be hard to any straps or chains when tarped like that many flatbed trailers have chaining points on top of deck.
-
Yes, probably had recessed chain tie-downs. These are nice when/where you can use them and can make for a beautiful tarp job in the hands of a good flat-bedder.

Ok, I really tried to see if there was anything besides the bungees.. i hope there was, just couldn't see anything. And yeah, it was a really neat tarp job.

I am sure if he took the time for a neat tarp job it was secured also. But you never know
