Transition to EOBR

im on elogs, still get 3,000 miles week. and I still don't let the office run my log book.
I like the fact the computer keeps tracks of the 8/2 split, which I run often, tried doing that on paper, lost track most times. And I rarely use the 34 hr reset.

 

I'm judging by your post that your truck goes more than 60MPH on cruise.

what i like the best on elogs is you 2 hours from home its friday afternoon out of hrs.so you sit in truck stop and play with yourself till you can leave.yes things are better you fools

 

The fools are the ones that accept loads putting them in this position whether on paper or e-logs . In 10 years I have a total of 3 restarts away from home .

 

Piss poor planning.

 

E-logs piss poor attitude regarding paper and pen? Not everything can be planned ahead perfectly. Correct? So if a guy planned his load out perfectly and then there is a wreck at the 465 & 74 split that the driver is caught in for an hour and half that causes him to miss being home by 20 minutes who's fault is that? How did he not plan his load? Anyone that tries to say piss poor planning is full of ####... There is no such thing as planning for every unforseen event.

We know you like having your hand held with EOBRs but stop trying to preach how good they are because they're not.

That's exactly what I'm telling you. If you can't find a way around a wreck (remember there's such a thing as a Rand McNally Motor Carriers Atlas?) then someone is blind and stupid as well. And anyone who believes that an automated log book (there's less button pushing than the current crop of PC or smartphone apps) aka "elogs" is holding their hand and telling them what to do and when to do it is a fool.

 

i was talking to driver the other day at ts,he proceeds to tell me with a somewhat proud tone,im on my 34 so i ask you get paid for this,why no he says so i ask you get motel,again no,i told him he is a fool.
